I grew up in Lancaster Township and graduated from Zelienople High School in 1954. One year later, I joined the United States Air Force, went to A&E School, and was assigned to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, for three and one-half years. I also met Annette there, and we were married in 1958.
Following discharge from the Air Force, we moved to Butler where I worked at Armco Steel. I received an apprenticeship in Mill Maintenance and worked there ten years. I had been repairing TV's also, so we started our own TV and appliance business in the Zelienople area.
Annette and I got our real estate licenses in 1973. We worked the business full time and real estate part time. In 1974, I got my private pilot license. I've attended many types of night school. In 1980, I developed a seven-unit subdivision in Jackson Township. In 1990, we closed the TV appliance business and went full time in real estate.
We have two daughters and one son and nine grandchildren. I have build three homes myself and remodeled one totally. We love living in Jackson Township.
