A luxury homes program including a new logo and sign design was introduced at the 2002 RE/MAX International Convention. It was developed to meet the needs of Associates working with high-end listings.
"The RE/MAX Renowned Properties program is designed to differentiate high-end listings from other listings with a RE/MAX sign in front of them," says RE/MAX International Executive Director of Corporate Image Bob Brown.
The new sign is designed to better compete in the luxury market and to ensure a standard for all regions across the network.
A listing will have to meet or exceed a minimum standard of three times the average price in the local MLS to qualify as a RE/MAX Renowned Property.
"The new sign is not intended to replace the traditional sign," Brown says.
According to Realtor.com statistics through January, RE/MAX Associates had more than 11,000 listings priced at more than $500,000.
Recently, RE/MAX International formed an alliance with the Wall Street Journal to market Renowned Properties. Link.
